The new building is a 10,126 square foot, slab on grade, wood framed facility. Everything is on one level with no steps anywhere in the building. The building is located on 3.7 acres which allows for ample parking, storage, and future expansions, if needed. The building features a spacious lobby that more adequately serves the services held within the facility. A new chapel that seats approximately 175 – 200 people is situated in the center of the building. This chapel not only can accomodate a chapel service of that size, but also can be utilized as a visitation room. Their is a sound rated folding wall that can divide the room into two equal spaces which could accomodate two visitations in the facility at one time. The building contains a family lounge for the families they serve to utilize during a visitation to enjoy time with their family and refresh during that time. There is an arrangement room for working out all of the details with a family for each funeral. Next to that arrangement room is a merchandise showroom to show a variety of products such as caskets, urns, vaults and memorial trinkets. The remaining of the facility contains non-public spaces such as work offices, employee break room and shower, body preparation area and vehicle storage space. The exterior of the facility provides a 71 car parking lot along with a full drive under canopy at the main entrance. There is also an exterior patio for families to enjoy as well. The new facility will be a drastic change from the old facility and the Levander family is excited to have a building that will more adequately serve the families of the Albion area for many years to come!
