Winsted, Minn. – Winsted, Minn. – Miller Architects & Builders have started construction on St. John Lutheran Church. The church has a rich history dating back to the 1850s and has been a popular destination for those looking to share the gospel since 1872. The church’s leadership recently hired Miller Architects & Builders to analyze the growth of the Christian Education Department and determine the best course of action. Together, they decided to relocate to a new site after receiving a generous gift from a church member.
The new facility, which totals 11,145 square feet, sits on 10.3 acres of land inside the city limit and will feature a multi-purpose space that can be used for both worship and fellowship. With a welcoming space for 300 people, the area will be able to be used for more than service, being the perfect space for luncheons and dinners, as well as a large gathering place for kids, youth, seniors, and more. The new building will include an administration wing with a pastoral office and reception area. An open lobby with a fireplace and a coffee bar will greet those entering the building to create an inviting space for all.
