Christ Lutheran Church

The project was initially motivated by the need to improve accessibility to the church; an elevator, sized to accommodate a casket, is the functional cornerstone of the design. However, the congregation also sought to improve its welcome and hospitality, so the addition also includes immediate access to the building from the parking lot drop-off. Significant new storage space in the addition also allows the restoration of the existing fellowship hall to its original size, built-in coffee service and adjacent outdoor patio. The addition also included a new conference/adult education room. Existing interior renovations included improvements to the sanctuary, increased air conditioning, new lighted exterior signage and steel cross.
